We are proud that the beef raised on our pastures are 100% grass-fed. We provide our cows with the ability to stroll around our pastures at their leisure, whether to find a nice shady spot to nap, to take a nice long drink of water or merely to socialize with our other happy cows.

There are many concerns about factory farming that have been coming to light as of late and consumers are beginning to understand that the factory farm model of raising animals for consumption on an industrial scale is not good for the animals and in turn is not good for humans, the environment or our natural resources. In a natural environment, pasture-raised animals are generally healthy; requiring little to no antibiotics, growth-hormones or other pharmaceutical drugs.

Here at Miller Ridge Farms we provide our cows ability to roam and nourish themselves with a diet of natural grass, reducing stress and creating less of an impact on the environment. Our hormone and additive free animals are generally prepared for slaughter between 18 and 24 months, allowing the animals to grow at a natural pace. Furthermore, grass fed beef is safe from Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (aka Mad Cow Disease) and because the animals are cleaner when slaughtered, the risk of E. coli infection is minimized.
